Ven. Khenpo Ngawang Tsultrim
Ven. Khenpo Ngawang Tsultrim was born in Kham Riwoche, East Tibet.

He went to normal school for three years during which time he was the best student. At age 11, he decided to join the monastic school under the tutelage of Venerable Gen Sonam Tashi. He entered Riwoche Great Monastery at age 13 and became a monk under His Eminence Choktul Tenzin Gyaltsen Ngawang Mawai Nyima Rinpoche.

After that he entered Riwoche Shedra College and studied Buddhism for 9 years under Venerables Khenchen Sherab Palzang Rinpoche and Khenchen Karma Tsultrim Rinpoche. He taught the junior monks in Shedra and played an active part in the monastic duties of the Monastery.

He received many ripening empowerments, liberating instructions, supporting oral transmissions and Taklung Kagyu Lineage teachings from His Holiness Kyabgon Taklung Tsepha Rinpoche, His Eminence Choktul Tenzin Gyaltsen Ngawang Mawai Nyima Rinpoche, Venerable Khenchen Sherab Palzang Rinpoche, Lobpen Tsepak Namgyal, Dorjee Lobpen and Venerable Khenchen Karma Tsultrim Rinpoche.

At age 24, the 2004 Master of Riwoche Great Monastery, Venerable Dhungsey Kalzang Tenzin Rinpoche and the Most Venerable Khenchen Karma Tsultrim Rinpoche offered him the title of Khenpo. He was sent to Taklung Yarthang Monastery (The first Monastery of Taklung Kagyu) to give teachings to the monks there.

In 2005 he realized his dream to go to India to further his studies in Sera College. Here, he has received many teachings and empowerments including the Kalachakra from His Holiness The Dalai Lama and many Masters. He also went on a pilgrimage to all the holy places.

His aspiration is to propagate the Dharma for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings. He hopes to realize his dream of learning English in order that he can help more beings on the beautiful path of the Vajrayana Dharma Teachings.
